We recently asked the staff at Camas for clarification on how long their materials stay in “New Book” status. As a general rule:
1. All Fiction materials stay as new books for 9-10 months.
2. Nonfiction materials stay as new books for 6 months.
Lately items have been staying in New Book status longer so that they have more items on their New Book shelves, so remember that this is just a guideline.
